From Le Puy to somewhere in Spain. I need to define a starting location, so it is Le Puy. The destination is not important, this journey is about the walk, the activity of walking and being nourished by whatever I find along the way. The destination will appear when time is up, although the time is also not defined at the moment. Jaca is a nominal place to stop.
This year I am leaving a little earlier than many, in order to avoid the crowds that come out to play in May. Some places may be closed, it might be wet, but it is France so that is a good thing.
The familiar Massif Centrale following GR65, then near Moissac crossing over to near Toulouse to continue on the route that begins in Arles, in the proximity of the Pyrenees for a while, and through Pau to the Sommport Pass to cross the Pyrennes into Spain and the town of Jaca.
