Figeac
An attractive ancient town with much wood-brick architecture.
At dinner we had just started soup when an intense rain event hit the town. The Gite was on the low side of the road and as the stormwater pipes blocked, the manhole covers in the street become fountains, the floor under our dining room table became a flood way for 20 minutes or so. Soup was interrupted whilst we bucketed and broomed the water through the Gite. When the floor was sufficiently free of water we resumed a delicious Algerian style meal.
