To the Vallee du Lot

I did have a hot chocolate in the café de thé. It was the end of some good days on the Aubrac. Even in my shorts, with at times cutting wind, days of low temperature, one day where the temperature stayed about 0 all of the 5 hrs or so of walking, and earlier days of rain, and often muddy tracks, perhaps better described as rivulets of liquid snow.   Then the 1,000 m descent to the Lot River in 2 stages to ease the effort on the knees that are still developing track-toughness. It takes a while. Half way down a night in the Gité St Andre in the village of St Chely d'Aubrac.
