to Auch

• My route had been to walk about half of the Chemin du Puy, then crossover to the Chemin d'Arles. This happened a little earlier than intended owing to the state of the track.
• It had already been occasionally barely passable with advice to take the road when necessary.
• After the downpour in Figeac I decided to take the train to Toulouse, a wonderful scenic tour along river gorges. Enroute I decided to give Toulouse a complete miss, not too many big cities this time, and caught the next service from Toulouse to Auch.
• This cuts about a week out of the middle of the walk. Instead I intend to extend the end point from Jaca to Puente la Reina giving me about a week in Spain. Hopefully without the rain!
• Auch is famous for its Cathedral, however this is hardly a distinguishing feature.
